Adore, joy, desires, ecstasy, this former vocabulary of my life has now been replaced by words as terrorist attack, suicide bombing, target killing, blood shed. Its not me being affected by the current scenario, each and every mind finds it self pondering over the question; when will this end?
They are gone times when looking at people we would try to know their problems, wish that they be solved. When in a crowd two wandering eyes met, there was exchange of greetings, a transfer of sympathies, and a communication of joy. Today our first glance in a market makes us suspicious of that person. There is nothing but mistrust in your eyes. if he has a beard you would tell your self to beware of that person, if he has fat, he is probably wearing a suicide jacket underneath his shirt, if he is hiding a box or a shopping bag with him, he has a bomb. So, you think no more and flee from the market place leaving all works undone.
Today, a person wishes to live each day of his life to the fullest, not because he sees his life with the perspective of worth living but because the day could be the last day of life. there isn’t gloom everywhere, every minute, moments of joy and happiness do come but by the end of the day, a man some one else steals the shot, feels joy in killing, desires to cause the greatest damage and feels ecstatic over the worst happening, blows up himself in the crowded place and reddens the view . After which for some, life never continues like before.
very true nowdays words like terrorists and suicide bombing are more common tahn words like entertainment and festivities and celebrations....
ReplyDeleteit almost comes to me like a pain...we claim to be free in our country but are we really? we are now captives of our own fears... fears that society and this world gave us. We know that the foremost requirement of life after the necessities is the sense of security but now after all thses unexpected bomb blasts and terrorist activities happening every other day, it is hard to think whether we'll return home alive or not(God Forbid)
ReplyDeletea valid point and concern raised by you momna..you know what i miss most about the good old times..it was the trust and a friendly environment we had..like we were open to all foriegners and all..we gave refuge to millions of Afghanis..we were famous for our hospitality..and look at us now..we have mistrust in our eyes, any uzbak or afgahni is whom we distrust and have suspicion in life..we live in a fearful world..not knowing whats gona next day..are we really gona survive..its a sad
