The North Star

He is like the North Star.

North Star shows the light to those who are lost.

The star was a part of galaxy of billions. It was a nobody. It did have its own light. It wanted to shine.

The star grew. It tried to help the ones around it. The only naive aim was to guide the lost ones, to help the asking ones and to be someone who they looked in their hour of darkness.

But the star changed. It found someone who wanted it most in their life. The star focused everything on it. It still gave lights to others, was visible to others but it saved and hid the asking one from others. The star shone for one yet tried never to disappoint the others too. It did a pretty okay job at it.

Then the fate struck. The star lost its brightness. It lost everything that was dear to it. The once-shining star went into complete darkness. Few of them knew, only few of them noticed that this light was gone. The star let go of everything and let itself wonder in the darkness. There were few who wanted the star to shine again. Who wanted it to be their star. But it just couldn't rise up again.

After what it seems ages in wilderness, the star slowly came on terms with it. It had to come back. The knight had to rise again. It wasn't anything extraordinary. That was just the law of nature.

But the star had changed. The chemical reactions had changed its composition. The star no longer had light of its own. That was lost in darkness. So it decided to absorb light of others.

It took the reflection of the light coming from others to shine. It became a mirror. It became a reflecting glass. Some saw it a shining bright star because that's what they were themselves i.e bright and great souls. Some saw it deep sad and dark, when it was actually themselves who they were looking at.

Only a few noticed the difference between the old and new light. They wanted the old original light, but that's something which was long gone. It was something they couldn't have anymore. Most came on terms with it, few didn't. They suffered. The star just followed the fate.

The star had returned. Its up and glowing. People look up to it. They adore it. They take guidance from it. The star”s brightness comes from their goodness and love. The star is just a reflection of they are. The star is up there. It belongs to no one yet it is up there for everyone. The star takes at their brightness and spread it as of its own. The star knows the light is not its own. It tries to explain it. But they remember the old star. The star doesn't mind its role since it just brings the best out of other people.

Now it does not know what lies next for it. It does not want to know what is next for it.

It is happy being there, helping anyone who asks for, shedding light, providing shadow and belonging to no one.

Some stars are just like that. This is what they are made for. They can not be there for one. They shouldn't be there for one. They are just the mirrors. A mirror who on the backside is dark and black. They look good on the shining front but they absorb everything in their darkness. Some stars are just like that.

He is like the North Star.
